FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Answers You Need
We understand that your pets are like family, and it’s our top priority to make you feel comfortable with the care we provide them. To make sure all your questions are answered, we’ve included our FAQs below.
Can I bring toys or other things for my pet?
Only bring your food, treats and medications if any. We will provide blankets, waterproof pads, beds, bowls and long lasting chew toys that can’t be destroyed.
We cannot accept dirty or oversized bedding or dirty food bowls. All items have to be sanitized daily and be ready for unannounced state inspections.
** We want your pet to feel comfortable & secure while staying with us, therefore you may supply your pet’s personal small bedding (no oversized beds or comforters, please). Any bedding item or toy that becomes too damaged or that we believe may pose a hazard to your pet may be removed at the sole discretion of staff. You may also supply pet toys or comfort items to enjoy. The items must be washable, be suited to your cat’s size & may not pose an obvious choking hazard. ** Also you may bring your cat or dog’s carrier, in case of an emergency.
My pet is on special diet and medication. How does that work?
Please bring your special food and treats, we can refrigerate. We do administer insulin injections, Sub-Q injections, prescribed medicine taken by mouth and chewable supplements. Please bring all meds with written instructions.
Medications will be provided by the pet owner in the original container, appropriately labeled with the veterinary information and directions (no expired medications will be accepted without veterinarian approval). Dosages will not be changed from the veterinary instructions without written approval from the prescribing veterinary doctor/veterinary office, or without being stated on your Boarding Agreement.
Are there extra fees? There is a $3.00 administration fee/day for all medications prescribed by a veterinary doctor; i.e., pills, gels, trans-dermal gels, suspensions, injections, etc. $5/day or more will be charged if there are 3 or more medications.
Diabetic? We are accepting diabetic cats and dogs who are under the supervision of a vet.
What If I forget my pet's food or my kitty litter?
We will supply food if you have forgotten your pet’s food from home. We keep Science Diet Dog food and Purina Cat Chow on hand. We also have Arm & Hammer Kitty litter and kitty boxes if you forget yours.

Can I come in inside the facility?
Our Meet & Greet is closed at this time, we can always meet you and your pet outside or in your home.
Please call or text when you arrive in the parking lot and we will meet you and your pet at the door. Please bring all food, litter, puppy pads and other items for kitty or puppy. Please see our hours for pick and drop off.
Our premises are not open for visits and tours are not being given due to K-9 influenza & the new respiratory virus precautions. Not sharing is caring. Our facility is sanitized at least once per day.
We are also open on most holidays/fees subject to change: New Year’s day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
What vaccination do you require to board my pet?
Please ask your vet for a copy of Rabies and Distemper certificate. We do not accept hand written immunizations records and puppy packets. TATJANA’S PET SITTING requires all of our fur guests to have the following vaccinations.
-
Dogs: Rabies (1 or 3 year vaccine)
-
Cats: Rabies (1 or 3 year vaccine).
And FVRCP (1 or 3year vaccine- commonly called the distemper vaccine)
All vaccines should be given at least one to two weeks prior to boarding as this gives the antibodies ample time to establish protection against contagious diseases.
Kittens/Puppies: 4 months and older must have completed their full series of vaccinations, including rabies, before being allowed to board.
Kennel cough and Influenza vaccines are only suggested and not required. Please follow advice of your veterinarian. Kennel cough and influenza are very hard to treat. Protect your fur baby.
Can you board or pick up my pet in a case of emergency?
Yes, we are available for all your pet or human emergencies. Your fur baby will have a safe stay at Tatjana’s Pet Sitting till your situation resolves. We can pick up your pet! Tatjana’s Pet Siting charges $2/pick up and $2 for drop off per pet, local, in town. Grooming appointments - Vet appointment or Owner emergencies. Stuff happens. Trust the best with your pet.
Do I have to fill out or sign any paperwork?
Yes, our Boarding Agreement is required before boarding your pet. Please fill one out per animal. You’re welcome to text ahead and pick up an agreement. We can also email it to you from idogsit4u@gmail.com
